Telangana BJP chairman and MP for Karimnagar, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, has said that if the party is elected to power, it will implement the population control law in the state.

Telangana BJP chairman and MP for Karimnagar, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, said on Tuesday that the party will bring a population control law to the state if it comes to power in the next Assembly polls in 2023.
Addressing a public rally in Sangareddy on the 11th day of ‘Praja Sangram Yatra’, Sanjay said the BJP would emulate legislative measures taken in BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh to control the rate of population growth in Telangana s’ he was elected to power.
Bandi Sanjay claimed that the BJP is close to forming the next government in Telangana. Bandi Sanjay said he would continue padayatra until there is a change of government in Telangana.

Bandi Sanjay previously described the recent meeting between Prime Minister Modi and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao as a routine affair between the Union and state governments. He dismissed the possibility of any alliance with the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) in Telangana.
The BJP leader demanded that the TRS government declare September 17 as Telangana Liberation Day as promised by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao before taking power.
He alleged that the Chief Minister of Telangana forgot his pledge under pressure from All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) MP for Hyderabad, Asaduddin Owaisi.
Bandi Sanjay said Union Home Minister and top BJP leader Amit Shah will attend a mega rally in Nirmal district of Telangana. The BJP is holding the rally to lobby for its demand for an official celebration by the TRS government on September 17.
On September 17, 1948, Hyderabad State ruled by Nizam as Telangana Region was merged into the Union of India following the launch of Operation Polo by the Minister of Home Affairs of the Union, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
