Black BC entrepreneurs and businesses just got a digital boost.
Join forces with the BC Black Business Association (BBABC), Jelly Academy offer 10 human resources and business development funding to follow its digital marketing program this year. The donation will cover the cost of the six-week Jelly Academy course, which gives students basic skills. Graduates earn 11 industry-recognized micro-credentials, the most for such a boot camp in the country.

BBABC supports and advocates for Black-owned entrepreneurs and small businesses across the province. Through its programs and services, which include assistance with loan and grant applications as well as mentorship and networking opportunities, the group aims to elevate businesses.
“Our latest digital needs assessment survey revealed that 90% of respondents identified that adopting digital marketing tools would benefit their business,” said Nerissa Allen, President and CEO of BBABC. . “By lowering the cost barrier, we’re directly helping Black-owned businesses access the tools they need to stay sustainable.”
