The Union Health Ministry has appreciated the remarkable success achieved by Madhya Pradesh in the fight against malaria. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has awarded Madhya Pradesh the ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ as part of a program held in Delhi on Malaria Day.
Madhya Pradesh Minister of Public Health and Family Welfare, Prabhuram Choudhary has commended the officers and employees of the Department of Health for the state’s achievements in the fight against malaria. He said more than one case of malaria per thousand people was detected in 25 districts of the state in 2015 which fell to 0.03 per thousand in 2021. There is not even a single district in the state. which has more than one case of malaria per thousand inhabitants.
He said the officers and employees of the Department of Health have played an important role in eliminating malaria.
Due to the work done by them with responsibility, the state was upgraded from Tier 3 states to a Tier 1 state in 2015. The Minister of Health said it is a matter of pride and joy for the state. state that we are continually progressing. towards the control and eradication of malaria.
