LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Nebraska Department of Labor released employment data for April 2022 on Friday.
In summary, the department records an unemployment rate of 1.9% for the State.
Nebraska is currently tied with Utah for the lowest unemployment rate in the country, according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The current national unemployment rate is 3.6%, according to the department’s summary.
Nebraska hit an all-time high of 1,040,325 workers in the state.
“We had record state revenue and our highest ever employment rate in April,” Ricketts said. “These strong signs of growth reflect the creation of many well-paying jobs for Nebraskans. There’s never been a better time to graduate and look to start a career in the good life. »
Nebraska currently ranks first in labor force participation and employment-to-population ratio, according to the press release.
