BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) – Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control says it has 90 dogs and 15 cats that need immediate adoption. If the animals are not adopted, they can be euthanized.

Palm Beach County’s Animal Care and Control (ACC) Division needs adopters and adoptive parents to learn about the amazing cuddly dogs and cats. Overcrowding has been a very serious problem at ACC for several weeks and is getting worse with the start of kitten season. While the shelter is confronted daily with an increasing number of dogs and cats in its care, adoptions are at an all-time low.
Rescue Placement Partners has been instrumental in helping the shelter find homes, but they too are dealing with overcrowding and are saturated with pets. At this point, the response to the shrinking shelter population is for public adoptions and foster families to increase in order to relieve overcrowding and place dogs, cats, and kittens into temporary and permanent loving homes.
Placement is easy and does not require a long-term commitment. The animal is sent home with food, leash, collar and cage. The shelter has approximately 90 diverse dogs and 15 cats available immediately for adoption or placement. The Palm Beach County Shelter has dogs and cats that would suit every lifestyle, from calm and relaxed to active and outdoorsy. Although it may seem like there aren’t many cats and kittens in the adoption area, there are around 120 kittens waiting in the backyard to gain enough weight to go to new homes. .
Unfortunately, without the help of the public to reduce the number of shelters, some beautiful pets may not make it out of the shelter alive. Anyone considering adopting is encouraged to come to the shelter today and see all the wonderful dogs and cats available. Adopting today literally means saving two lives – the one who is adopted and the one who will come to take their place in the shelter system.

Monday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
