RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat during Vijaya Dashami’s speech

In his annual address by Vijaya Dashami to the Nagpur RSS leader, Mohan Bhagwat addressed a plethora of issues including the status of India’s healthcare system and the need to manage the country’s population. “Population policy needs to be reviewed. A policy must be made for the next 50 years, and it must be implemented in the same way because demographic imbalance has become a problem,” Bhagwat said during his speech.

“While reimagining the development of the country, a difficult situation arises which seems to concern many people, viz. population. A population policy applicable to all groups is therefore imperative,” he added.

Speaking about the COVID situation, Bhagwat said health care should not only be about preventive care but should also incorporate aspects of Ayurveda for well-being.

“In our geographically vast and densely populated country, we will need to reinvent healthcare not just from a preventative perspective but also from a wellness perspective, as informed by the science of Ayurveda. “, said Bhagwat.

Bhagwat further added that the Covid pandemic has enhanced the usefulness of our traditional knowledge systems and the vision emanating from “individuality”. “We have experienced the effectiveness of our traditional life practices and our system of Ayurvedic medicine in fighting and fighting the coronavirus,” the RSS chief said.

Addressing the drastic effect of the second wave of the pandemic, Bhagwat said, “The efforts of citizens who have selflessly devoted themselves to the service of humanity despite the grave health risks posed by the pandemic are commendable.”

RSS leader Vijaya Dashami’s speech is considered a crucial and defining event for the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
