NEW DELHI: Hitting Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Mohan Bhagwat over his remark on “population imbalance”, Brinda Karat, a member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) political bureau, said on Friday that he was hiding facts and wanted to impose his own theory on population control.
Speaking to ANI, Brinda Karat said, “Why does Bhagwat not keep the truth before the country? This is RSS’s mantra for hiding the truth and you want to implement your theory. She further alleged that the RSS is trying to divide India by hiding the reality of every issue.
Bhagwat, expressing concern over the “demographic imbalance” in the country during his annual address to Vijaya Dashami on Friday, said the country’s population policy should be reconsidered.
“News of the persecution of indigenous Hindus, increasing criminalization and increasing pressure on them to escape from their areas where unbalanced population growth has surfaced. the appeasement of barbarian elements by the government and the imbalance of the population.
