Urban Story Ventures is hiring a Marketing Director
Commercial real estate developer Urban Story Ventures has hired Megan Bissonette as director of marketing and communications. Working closely with General Partner and Owner Jimmy White and other partners in the business, Bissonette will lead the marketing and communications strategy and grow the department as Urban Story Ventures scales with new ventures like The Bend.

Prior to joining Urban Story Ventures, Bissonette spent several years in legal marketing and business development for Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel PC, a mid-sized, full-service business law firm focused on industries such as as real estate, construction and design, healthcare and manufacturing. She was also part of the marketing team for a beverage manufacturer, executing campaigns through social media, digital advertising, media relations and events.
Bissonette holds an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in marketing summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Passionate about personal development and community involvement, she is a member of the Chattanooga Women’s Leadership Institute and the Public Relations Society of America and is a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters, according to the release.
Nurse Practitioner Templeton Joins CHI Memorial Family Practice Associates
Nurse Practitioner Hillary Templeton has joined CHI Memorial Family Practice Associates – Chattanooga.
Templeton earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Murray State University in Kentucky. She then earned a Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, from South University in Savannah, Georgia. Templeton is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Templeton has four years of experience working with patients to complete a detailed medical history, understand their complex medical needs, and provide comprehensive care, including education on healthy habits and disease prevention.
Blaylock appointed branch manager of First Horizon Bank
First Horizon Bank has appointed Rodney Blaylock as the Banking Center Director of First Horizon Banking Center at Erlanger Medical Center.
Blaylock joined the bank in June 2005 as a relief teller and became a full-time teller that same November, according to a press release. In 2009, he became director of operations of the Red Bank banking center, and in 2020 he was appointed relationship banker of the Soddy-Daisy banking center.
In his role, Blaylock is responsible for developing new business and expanding relationships with existing customers. As director of the banking center, he maintains a high level of customer service for all employees, according to the statement.
“As someone who is passionate about leadership and helping others, I look forward to using the knowledge this company has provided me and the relationships I have developed over the years to develop and grow. in these areas,” Blaylock said in the statement. “I look forward to working with the wonderful team at Medical Center Banking Center to take us to the next level and working with the amazing leadership team here in Chattanooga at First Horizon.”
Originally from Chattanooga, Blaylock graduated from Soddy-Daisy High School. He is a member of the Alliance and Allies group of First Horizon.
