The 2022 UK’s Best Workplaces™ in Tech list was launched this morning by Great Place to Work® United Kingdomgrateful Walr among 142 ranked organizations.
This recognition reflects the company’s commitment to creating a rewarding and inspiring work environment. Since its inception in 2020, Walr has acquired technology company QuenchTec and grown the team to 70 employees (and counting).
Emily Whiting, chief of staff at Walrcomments, “At Walr, we revel in innovation. We believe that the best innovations come from collaborating with our colleagues around the world, bringing together different cultures, experiences and perspectives to advance our collective thinking.
Walr is a team that places as much emphasis on individual responsibility as on collective success. The team takes time to assess everyone’s contributions, invest in growth by prioritizing learning and development, and celebrate milestones at monthly group meetings. Employee-led initiatives are also encouraged and supported. One such initiative was the start of Walr Central. This internal group meets monthly to discuss how Walr can drive its global culture and improve the employee experience.
Simon Vaarning, Walr CTO, adds, “We really put our employees first. We trust our employees to think outside the box to find new ways to innovate and propel Walr forward. How we structure our organization has been key in shaping our culture.
Benefits at Walr include a phantom options program that is offered to all employees, allowing them to participate in the future success of the company. The system allows all employees, regardless of their seniority, to benefit from Walr’s growth in the form of a financial reward, by simulating shareholding.
“I have never worked before in a company where the opportunities are so numerous and available. It’s actually encouraged to get involved in things that aren’t “your normal job”. If you want to broaden your experience by doing something different, Walr lets you do that. No lengthy explanation or requirement to “make a business case” is necessary. »
Like Benoît Gautrey, CEO of Great Place to Work® United KingdomExplain :“Now in its fifth year, our 2022 list features the largest collection of best places to workMT in technology that the UK has never recognised.
These results are based on what employees working in the technology industry have told us anonymously about their experiences in the workplace. In a fast-paced and ever-changing industry, these organizations are at the forefront of ensuring employees have the right environment to thrive, they focus on providing positive work experiences, they value diversity, differences and the best ways of doing things and, above all, are investing in effective leadership to ensure continued growth.
Kudos to Walr for making it to our most prestigious lists.
