Such policies are unsustainable in a country like India with a huge population and people are facing the brunt of government acts, Hakim, who is also the mayor of Kolkata, told ET on Monday.
“If there is no change of power by the people in 2024, dark days are ahead. Commoners are suffering due to soaring fuel prices and rising commodity prices,” a- he declared. “The central government, with pro-business policies, has no control over these price hikes. This phenomenon has started since demonetization.”
Speaking about panchayat polls in Bengal in 2023, the top Trinamool leader claimed it would be a walk in the park for the party with its mass base and no existing opposition.
“For the next 20 years, there will be no government in Bengal but that of Mamata Banerjee. With a range of welfare schemes coupled with development works undertaken by the government of Mamata Banerjee over the past eleven years, the credibility is such that people trust him,” he said.
